What? Technical presentations, panel discussions, and posters to learn about and share results of recent research related to playa wetland conservation, management, and ecology in the Great Plains
Topics on the agenda tentatively include: wetland mapping using satellite imagery or UAVs, effects of drought and land use change, connectivity of playa networks, water quality concerns and benefits, playas as bird habitat, groundwater recharge through playas, and climate change impacts.
Cost: Platte Basin Conference: $350, Playa Wetlands Symposium: $150, Both Events: $400

Playa Symposium Agenda
The Playa Research Symposium will be held immediately following the Platte River Basin Conference at the same location. Presenters and attendees are welcome and encouraged to attend both.
